God's Promises

and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me

So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Do note be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Be strong and take heart, all you hope in the Lord.

In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord.

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.

"The eye is the lamp pf the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

God is leading you away from danger, Job, to a place free from distress. He is setting your table with the best food.

The he turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose

For no word from God will ever fail.

I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.
